55 Wheeler Street / The Laurent

The Laurent on 55 Wheeler Street is the construction of three residential buildings each comprised of two floors of common post tensioned concrete podium base for underground garage, with five wood framed floors above. The 698,000 GSF project will have 525 residential units (100 of which are affordable), two on grade courtyards as well as a third, elevated courtyard and additional amenity spaces.

Located near the Fresh Pond Reservation in the Alewife neighborhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts, construction of the 55 Wheeler project includes extensive site logistics and earthwork in the tight, urban location.

Amenity space construction includes an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a media lounge, community kitchen with a dining area, a trash/recycling room, and long term indoor bike storage space. The project will meet LEED Gold Certifiable Standards.
